How glorious it is to step into God’s garden, his world, and see the variety of flowers and colors he has planted on this earth. How special it is to see a sunset streaked with bold colors. It’s even more amazing to walk out into the streets and observe the way that he created each one of his beautiful children to be special and different in their own way, according to His loving purpose. He so masterfully created the world with color and detail, lovingly giving each of us different backgrounds, stories and strengths, asking us to love one another and value each other.
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13:34).
Let the natural world around you remind you of God’s love for variation and different strengths and his great love for this world. Think about a newborn baby and how gentle and special each one is, and how we are always considered his children, no matter our age. He wants you to feel valued and worthy as a child of God, no matter who you are. You are loved. Do not let the hardness that has settled in another’s heart steal the joy and dim the vibrant colors that he has set in yours.
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well” (Psalm 139:14 NIV).
